I am a home birth mama of 2 I love to talk about all things in the birth world!
As a first time mom choosing a home birth I defiantly dealt with personal fear surrounding birth and found it difficult to talk about because, while they were supportive, many of my loved ones did not understand my decision to have a home birth. I found myself taking courses and devouring as much information as I could about home birth and how birth itself works. Knowledge truly is power! I went on to have a wonderful home birth and while there were trying points during labor, I never felt like I couldn't do it. After the swift birth of my second baby at home I felt drawn to certifying as a doula and childbirth educator because I want to help mamas feel empowered to take charge of their births. Birth and Postpartum are such a transformative time for all mamas and helping moms to feel prepared and empowered to have a birth they love is such a dream!
